Questions about these numbers

How much does Etsy take from a sale?
Four fees stack up: $0.20 to list an item, 6.5% of the order total as a transaction fee, payment processing of 3% plus $0.25 on US orders, and Offsite Ads at 15% or 12% when the sale comes through one of those ads. The calculator applies all four so the figure you read is what actually reaches your account.
Is the calculator free, and do I need an account?
It is free and there is no account. Nothing you type is sent anywhere; the math runs in your browser.
Where do the production costs come from?
We read them off each provider's own product pages and note the date we checked at the bottom of the page. Every cost is editable, so if your account has different pricing you can type your own figure in.
Why is Listybox's own price shown separately?
We offer these products too, so putting our own figure in the comparison table would not be a fair comparison. The Printful and Printify columns stand on their own and our price sits below them.
What is not included in the math?
Sales tax, which Etsy collects and remits on US orders, and the 2.5% currency conversion fee that applies when you list in a currency your payment account does not use. Payment processing depends on your bank account's country, so pick yours in the calculator - Etsy charges 3% in the US but 6.5% in Türkiye.

We checked production prices on August 18, 2026 against each provider's own product pages.

Etsy fees come from Etsy's own Fees and Payments Policy, last updated February 13, 2026.

Payment processing rates come from Etsy's Payments Policy, which lists a rate for every country it pays out to.

Two things this does not cover: sales tax, which Etsy collects and remits for US orders, and the 2.5% currency conversion fee that applies when you list in a currency your payment account does not use. Etsy publishes a payment processing rate for more than forty countries; the four above are the common ones, and their fixed fee is shown converted to dollars.
